ZOOM Pharmacy: Avoid Holiday Delays

Another year has flown by! The holiday season is once again almost upon us. As always our pharmacy team is working hard to make sure ZOOM Pharmacy patients across New Zealand can focus on enjoying their holidays, not worrying about their medicines.

During this busy time Medical Centres and couriers will be operating at reduced hours/days. Our team will be working our standard days through the Christmas and New Year excluding the public holidays. In this article we will let you know the key dates, some practical tips to make sure you avoid delays.

Tips to avoid delays over the holidays

If you will need a new prescription from 20^th December 2024 to 13^th January 2025, we recommend you organise it before Friday 13^th December to avoid holiday delays.

Our pharmacy team will do the upmost to ensure that you have your medicines supply. The following information can help you in this busy time of year.

Requesting your own prescription ahead of time is recommended during this period,
book your appointment early, medical centres often have reduced hours and longer wait times,
allow 24-48 hours for your medical centre to process your new prescription request,
tell us if you are travelling. We can send your medicines ahead of time, or to a new address,
couriers services are under pressure and closed on certain days over the holiday period, keep in mind how this may impact you,
help your family members organise their prescriptions too, for a stress-free holiday.
