Duromine 15mg capsules is only available with a doctor’s prescription. It has been prescribed for you only. Do not give it to anyone else even if their condition is the same as yours. Your doctor may prescribe Duromine for another purpose. If you are not sure why you are taking this medicine ask your doctor.
Duromine is a controlled drug C5. It should be kept in a secure place and under no circumstances should it be given to anyone else.

Warnings: When you must not use Duromine:
If you have any of the following medical conditions: very high blood pressure, high blood pressure in the lung, problems with the valves in your heart, disease related to blood vessels in the brain, severe heart disease including changes in the rhythm or rate of the heart beat; narrowing of the blood vessels due to thickening or hardening of the blood vessel wall, overactive thyroid gland, psychiatric illness including anorexia nervosa (loss of appetite) and depression, glaucoma (high pressure in the eye).
If you are currently taking, or have taken within the last 14 days, antidepressant medicines from the mono-amine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) class such as phenelzine (eg Nardil) or   tranylcypromine (eg Parnate).
If you are allergic to phentermine or to any of the ingredients listed under “Product Description”.
If you have previously misused drugs or alcohol.
After the “use by” date on the box.

- When do you start losing weight on Duromine?
Although results may vary amongst individuals, results are typically visible 1 month after starting treatment. Typically, there will be at least a 5% reduction in body weight after a 12-week course.
- What does Duromine do to the body?
Duromine (Phentermine) is an indirect-acting sympathomimetic amine that works on the central nervous system to suppress appetite. Duromine has also been reported to inhibit neuropeptide Y which is the primary signally pathway for the induction of hunger and this can help weight loss by decreasing your hunger and making you feel full for longer.
- How much weight can you lose from Duromine?
A 5-10% reduction is expected in most individuals after a 12-week course of Duromine. In some cases, there are case reports of a 15% reduction in body weight. For someone that is 150kg, that is equivalent to a weight loss of 22.5kg!
- How overweight do you have to be to get Duromine?
At your prescriber’s discretion, Duromine is indicated for anyone that has a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30kg/m² or greater who has not achieved an adequate clinical response to an appropriate weight-reducing regimen alone.
