Pharmac has eased its restrictions on the amount of medicine that can be dispensed at once.
Since the beginning of the year, some people have been restricted to a month’s medicine supply at a time. This was due to Pharmac concerns around global medicines supply during Covid-19.
From 1st August ZOOM Pharmacy will again be able to dispense the full three-month supply in one go.
Some monthly restrictions may continue for some medicines plus some six monthly medications will remain restricted to three months.
Pharmacies have been asked to dispense remaining monthly refills in single-month lots where possible. This is to help manage the supply as they resume regular operation, says Pharmac.
